September 23, 2010

Group14 provides building energy modeling, LEED consulting, greenhouse gas accounting, energy master planning, commissioning, and energy audits for projects across the nation. Group14 Engineering’s primary markets include K-12, higher education, labs, healthcare, libraries and community centers, municipalities, multi-family, state and federal buildings, and corporate offices.

Group14 Engineering was incorporated in Colorado 1993 under the name of a leading Canadian consulting firm exclusively dedicated to green buildings. “Our new name emphasizes our commitment to long-term sustainability, efficiency and resource conservation,” said Susan Reilly, president of Group14 Engineering.

Group14 Engineering takes its name from the periodic table — Group 14 is the Carbon Group.  The name represents the firm’s focus on design guidance, field work and engineering research to reduce carbon and greenhouse gas emissions. “Our multi-disciplinary team is always working to advance the knowledge of the industry,” said Dennis Jones, Director of Commissioning and Measurement & Verification Services. “Our efforts are at the intersection of building science and practice.”
