Retro-Commissioning (RCx) | Retro-Commissioning or re-commissioning (RCx) is a cost effective means to provide optimal performance for existing buildings. RCx restores HVAC and lighting controls to peak performance.  Energy savings from RCx  typically pay for RCx in less than six months. Group14 Engineering often provides RCx in partnership with the  Xcel Energy RCx program, which provides a cash incentive for up to 75% of study fees, as well as cash incentives for implementation. LEED for Existing Buildings (LEED EBOM) | LEED for Existing Buildings helps building owners and operators reduce costs while transitioning to green O&M strategies. The rating system addresses indoor air quality, cleaning and maintenance issues, water and energy use, recycling, exterior maintenance, and building systems upgrades.  The certification product is performance based and data driven. When implemented correctly, sustainability performance metrics are created to help manage on-going operations, and report year on year results to stakeholders.
