Group14 was proud to sponsor the Alliance Center’s ‘Healing with Nature’ virtual event on Thursday, April 22.The Earth Day symposium was an opportunity to come together to recognize “sustainability victories from the last year and explore opportunities to restore our planet.”

The Group14 staff also held a planting party at our Denver office on April 29 in honor of Earth Day. The event was delayed a week due to weather.

C-PACE Financing recently announced that CentrePoint Properties, a leading commercial real estate investment firm, engaged their program to leverage $1.5 million for the upgrades on a 95,952 SF office building located at 789 Sherman Street in Denver.

Group14 conducted the project savings analysis for the office project. Sue Reilly, president of Group14 Engineering, said, “Efficient buildings go a long way toward boosting net operating income for building owners. In this case, she added, “the building is projected to save over $1.5 million in utility costs over the useful life of the energy efficiency improvements.”

Group14’s work on Crossing Pointe South, which will provide affordable housing for families and seniors in Thornton, was recently featured in Mile High CRE. The housing project has received Federal and State Low Income Housing Tax Credits from the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority.

Group14 is providing Zero Energy Ready Homes and Enterprise Green Communities Certification to allow for energy savings and is working alongside the architectural team of Van Meter Williams Pollack.
