Building Energy Consultant — Engineer II

Group14’s Energy Team is seeking a Engineer II with expertise in building energy systems and energy modeling to manage new construction projects for commercial and multifamily buildings.

How You Will Contribute

• Support project managers with energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions through energy modeling and research of potential energy efficiency strategies
• Work cooperatively and successfully with teammates to reduce GHG emissions and strengthen the Energy Team’s knowledge base
• Model energy and thermal performance of buildings and building assemblies

Your Expertise

• Relevant direct experience in the following:
  • Building energy performance of commercial and multifamily buildings
  • Energy modeling skills and energy code knowledge (~ 2 years professional experience)
  • Management of multiple projects at one time with minimal supervision
• Curious and actively seek answers to achieve client goals and have a positive impact on our environment
• Self-motivated, creative, and driven to do well at any task and deliver projects cost effectively
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, especially when explaining building energy systems, including envelope, lighting, HVAC and service hot water and their energy performance.
