Multifamily Sustainability Consultant

Group14 Engineering is hiring a self-motivated sustainability consultant to join our multifamily team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a commitment to energy efficiency & sustainability. Employees are encouraged to work from our Denver office at least 2-3 times a week. Applicants must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 – 5 years of project management experience with commercial or residential buildings (multifamily preferred)
• Experience with multifamily green building certifications such as ENERGY STAR for Homes, National Green Building Standard, HERS ratings, Enterprise Green Community, or LEED
• Experience with residential or commercial site inspections, verification, or testing
• Competency with Microsoft Office products
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license 

Other Desired Qualification:

• Strong practical background with new construction project management (technical writing skills a plus)
• Able to communicate effectively with project design teams, construction contractors, and owner/ developer clients
• Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks, with excellent organization and time management skills
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE), or Engineer in Training (EIT) with the intent to pursue a PE is a plus
• NGBS Green Verifier accreditation or Certified HERS Rater
• Knowledge of current building codes, including IECC
• Experience with energy modeling software

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage portfolio of multifamily projects pursuing green building certifications
• Collaborate and work with clients, design teams, contractors, and their representatives to provide consultation relating to green building certifications and other sustainability goals
• Perform submittal reviews and design reviews of architectural and MEP drawing sets
• Conduct onsite inspections, verification, and testing, including items related to framing, air-sealing, insulation, and other rough and final stage building performance testing and verification on multifamily residential buildings

• Salary range: $65,000-$82,000
