Group14 provided energy modeling, as well as fundamental, enhanced, and monitoring-based commissioning for CU Denver’s Health Sciences Building. This project is part of the Fitzsimons Innovation Campus, which provides opportunities for life science research and development companies. The primary tenants in this building are the University of Colorado Denver and their private research partners.
This 390,000 SF building is an interdisciplinary hub of health sciences, including labs, vivarium, clinical and office space. The sustainable design project is pursuing LEED Gold and utilizes evaporative cooling and high-performance energy recovery.
Systems Commissioned included Mechanical HVAC&R Systems, Plumbing Systems, Lighting and Daylighting Controls, Indoor Air Quality Elements and Systems, Advanced Energy Metering Systems, Power Distribution Systems.
