Group14 provided LEED services, energy analysis, Xcel Energy Design Assistance (EDA) and retro-commissioning for this 42,000 SF, two-story building, which was the first LEED Gold library in the state of Colorado. The library features high efficiency plumbing fixtures, sunshades, and an automatic lighting system that dims and brightens in response to the amount of daylight.
The Durango Public Library is the result of the city’s commitment to the local community and the environment. The project achieved 50% annual indoor water savings, 57% annual outdoor water savings and 40% energy cost savings.
Group14 also provided retro-commissioning services — identifying equipment, controls and integration issues that were impacting building performance and occupant comfort.
