Group 14 provided fundamental & enhanced commissioning, energy modeling, EDA, and LEED services for the Kaiser Permanente Centrepoint project, which included a 68,000 SF renovation and 4,200 SF addition. The project was constructed over seven phases to allow continued operation of the building while renovations were in progress. The two-story medical office building includes primary care spaces, an urgent care, laboratory, and a pharmacy.
Systems Commissioned included Air-Handling Unit(s), HVAC, BAS, Central Plants, Pumps, Lighting Control Systems/Lighting Control Devices, Advanced Energy Metering, and Air Quality Systems/CO2 Sensors.
Energy and sustainability design strategies included high performance glazing, efficient lighting with occupancy sensors, condensing boilers, and the installation of a 95% efficient domestic hot water heater.
The project achieved energy cost savings of 37.2% over the LEED baseline. The MOB is also on track to achieve LEED Gold and received $78,600 in incentives from Xcel Energy’s EDA program.
