We’ve Moved: A New Office Designed for Performance and Collaboration
We’re excited to share that Group14 has officially relocated to a new space in Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.
In January 2026, we moved into an 11,555-square-foot office at 1278 Lincoln Street. This new space expands our footprint and gives us the opportunity to better support how we work, collaborate, and deliver for our clients.
“This move is an opportunity to align how we work with what we believe buildings should deliver. As expectations around performance, resilience, and carbon continue to evolve, we see our own office as a way to test those ideas in practice and better support our clients in navigating that shift.” — Celeste Cizik
Supporting Our Growth
Over the past decade, our team has more than doubled in size.
Our previous office served us well, but we reached a point where space began to limit flexibility and collaboration.
This move was not just about adding square footage. It was about creating a workplace that aligns with how our team operates today and how we continue to grow.
We approached this decision the same way we approach our projects: focusing on practical, achievable outcomes that support long-term performance.
Staying Connected to Denver
We made a deliberate decision to remain in central Denver.
Our new location offers strong walkability, access to public transit, and proximity to clients and partners across the metro area.
In a hybrid work environment, the office plays a different role than it once did. It is where we come together to collaborate, solve problems, and strengthen relationships.
That connection matters to how we work as a team and how we support our clients.
Designed for How We Work
We designed the new space around how our teams actually work.
That includes:
- Meeting spaces that support project coordination and client engagement
- Shared areas that encourage connection
- Amenities like bike storage and showers that support employee well-being
These decisions reflect a simple idea: better environments lead to better outcomes—for both our team and the projects we deliver.
Aligning With Our Values
Where we work is an extension of what we value.
Our new building is owned by the Colorado State Land Board, which directs lease revenue to support K–12 public education across the state.
As a Public Benefit Corporation and certified B Corp, that alignment was important to us. It reflects our belief that the built environment should create value not just for building owners, but for the broader community.
Advancing LEED v5 in Practice
We are also using our new office as an opportunity to engage directly with where building performance standards are heading.
We are pursuing LEED v5 Interior Design and Construction for the space, with a goal of being among the first projects in the United States to achieve certification under the new framework.
LEED v5 places greater emphasis on carbon impact, operational performance, resilience, and occupant experience. It reflects a broader shift toward measured outcomes rather than design intent alone.
“Pioneering the LEED v5 rating system for our own office has been an incredibly exciting and insightful journey. This process created a unique opportunity to collaborate with members of the design team we don’t usually engage with this early, fostering a more holistic approach to sustainability. The support from USGBC has been essential, allowing us to test these new requirements in practice and build expertise that will directly benefit our clients.” – Madi Gore
By applying LEED v5 to our office, we can test these requirements in practice, refine our approach, and continue building the expertise our clients rely on.
A Focus on Verified Performance
Alongside LEED v5, we are incorporating whole-building life cycle assessment and commissioning to verify system performance.
We believe performance should be measured, not assumed.
Using our own office as a test case allows us to apply the same accountable, performance-driven approach we bring to our clients and ensure the building operates as intended over time.
Looking Ahead
This move represents more than a change in location.
It is an opportunity to create a space that supports our team, strengthens collaboration, and reflects how we think about building performance.
More importantly, it aligns with our broader mission: transforming the built environment to realize a more resilient future.
We’re excited to continue that work in a space designed to support it every day.
