Group14 is seeking a Project Manager with a wide breadth of technical knowledge and drive to join our Building Enclosure team in support of our mission.

How You Will Contribute

  • Manage and execute consulting and testing of building envelopes to confirm the thermal performance for new construction and major renovation projects. This includes compliance with the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) or other related project requirements. 
  • Perform Project Management, including scope, schedule, and budget. Collaborate and work with clients, design team, contractors, and their representatives.
  • Perform technical reviews of drawings and specifications along with recommendations on best practices for air and thermal-barriers.
  • Develop and/or provide input on the building enclosure basis-of-design, owner project requirements, BECx and building enclosure testing specifications, commissioning plan, and other relevant documents.
  • Facilitate design and construction meetings related to building enclosure systems and support the entire project team. 
  • Review construction administration documents related to building enclosure systems, such as submittals and shop drawings.
  • Conduct field observations and prepare field reports on the status of installations and noted deficiencies for building enclosure systems.
  • Provide hands-on field support and perform whole-building air leakage testing. Engage and procure building enclosure testing agencies and oversee field-testing.

Your Expertise

  • 4+ years of relevant direct experience with the design, construction, and consultation of building envelopes and the associated thermal performance 
  • An understanding of building science and the ability to apply knowledge to new construction and major renovations in varied climate zones and different construction types
  • Previous experience conducting or overseeing field testing including ASTM E779, E1105, AAMA 501.2, etc. 
  • Ability to travel outside the Denver metro area (overnight to conduct work) up to 10% of the time
  • Undergraduate degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • Familiarity with THERM, WUFI, or other analytical modeling programs.
  • Registered Architect, Professional Engineer (PE), or Engineer in Training (EIT) with the intent to pursue a PE is a plus
  • Exhibits excellent organizational skills, effective time management, and can prioritize multiple tasks to achieve long-term goals
  • Ability to work cooperatively and successfully with teammates, clients, and other outside third parties
