Riverview at 1700 Platte is a 210,732 SF, Class A office building with 9,309 SF of street retail. The project is comprised of two structures: The five-story north wing and the four-story south wing, which are connected by a central link structure. The on-site amenities include 338 parking spaces, 200 secure indoor bike spaces, a fitness center overlooking the river, and an auditorium style staircase in the main lobby.

The building serves as the headquarters for energy giant BP’s Lower 48 onshore oil and gas business. BP’s Lower 48 offices occupy the third through fifth floors, about 70% of the building.

Group14 provided fundamental and enhanced commissioning, LEED consulting, and energy analysis for the LEED Silver office. Through LED lighting, high performance glazing, and efficient HVAC systems, 1700 Platte has achieved significant energy cost savings compared to a code-compliant building.

RESULTS:

To reduce the demand of potable water during the operation of the building, water efficient flow and flush fixtures were installed. These measures account for a 33% reduction in indoor water use equal to an estimated 498,280 gallons of water annually.

1700 Platte is targeting a 44% energy cost savings relative to the ASHRAE 90.1-2007 baseline.
