Group14 is the longest standing provider of the Xcel Energy Design Assistance program (EDA) for new construction or major renovation commercial and multifamily projects over 50,000 SF. Group14 also helped develop features for the energy modeling software used for EDA and OpenStudio/EnergyPlus. Through Xcel’s EDA program, Group14 has kept more than 10 MW off the grid– enough to power nearly 9,000 houses each year.

Xcel Energy’s Energy Management System (EMS) Program program offers rebates to offset the cost of new building control equipment and monitoring. Group14’s Building Automation System (BAS) Support Services include controls upgrade design, new control sequences to reduce energy use, and support throughout the upgrade process. Group14 also offers commissioning powered by SkySpark software to confirm the controls upgrade functions optimally. Using SkySpark, we can also verify the energy savings achieved.

Xcel Energy offers prescriptive rebates for lighting upgrades, including LEDs. For technologies that are not yet part of this rebate program, a project can apply to Xcel’s Custom Efficiency program.
