Group14 performed LEED consulting, energy modeling, and Xcel EDA for the Denver Museum of Contemporary Art– a 30,000 SF, LEED Gold project located in downtown Denver. The museum’s downtown location adds to the vibrancy of the growing urban environment and allows access to amenities and public transportation for employees and visitors.

The rooftop terrace includes an artist-installed garden, designed with desert plants that require no continuous irrigation. Additionally, the building includes waterless urinals, no refrigerants, regional materials, recycled construction waste, and superior indoor air quality.

RESULTS:

The LEED Gold project is demonstrating 34% modeled energy savings, 41% annual indoor water savings, and 88% annual outdoor water savings.
